Mauro-Sheridan uses PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support) and we expect students to be SAFE, RESPONSIBLE, and RESPECTFUL at all times. In Room 206 students who meet these expectations are rewarded with raffle tickets for a weekly drawing for prizes. In addition, we will be using a “clip chart” to monitor behavior. Your child will have a clip that they will physically move up or down the color-coded chart, depending on their behavior. Everyone will begin each day on green and the goal is to remain there. The chart below explains how the clip chart works.
Green
SAFE, RESPONSIBLE, RESPECTFUL
"Ready to learn"
Students start here each day and if they demonstrate positive behavioral choices, they will remain here throughout the day.
Yellow
"Warning"
This serves as a gentle reminder to follow the classroom rules.
Red
"Stop and think"
Students on red are asked to reflect on their behavior, the choices made, and how they affected others.
Blue
"Contact home"
Parents/Guardians contacted.
NOTE: The Administration will be contacted for frequent misbehavior and/or threatening physical contact/fighting.
Additionally, we will be using Class Dojo to track and communicate student behavior this year. I sent home a notice with your parent code, so please be sure to sign up.
Instructions:
1. Download the ClassDojo app from the Apple App Store or Google Play
2. Click the green Create a new account button, then select Parent
3. Enter your parent account code, then create your account! No app? No problem! You can sign up at www.classdojo.com/parent too!
